Walk Your Life... Shelter in Place

Hello, dear friends! Wow... I'm realizing that I haven't written a blog in over a year! Life happens and we get distracted, for sure. So I see this time as a gift, actually. Eric and I are pretty well set up out here to shelter in place creatively. A little home studio in the living room of the log house... some office space... lots of acres to roam without coming into contact with anyone! Even a little country store 5 minutes away for "essentials" like wine, chocolate, and toilet paper (!) ... where it's pretty easy to run in when no one else is in the store. That's not to say I don't miss connecting with my friends, family, and community in person... I really do! but I am also an introvert, and can always find ways to create and to entertain myself. :-)

I do miss singing while in the physical presence of people, though. Nothing can really replace that. But in these times, we're all finding new and safe ways to share and connect... and that is pretty awesome. And definitely a process in this "new normal"!

Grateful for the opportunity to keep doing what I love to do in some way, shape or form, I recorded a song video in my living room for a virtual spiritual service last week and just wanted to share it with you here.

"Walk Your Life" is a song I wrote that acknowledges our internal journey... especially important when we have no place to physically go! This is a time we can tune into life in a deeper, more meaningful way. To find the gifts of simplicity and what this experience might be teaching us about ourselves and about humanity. Walking a life that honors true nature.

Though we may feel anxious and even trapped, we can choose to walk our lives in freedom... real freedom on the inside, at a soul level. When there is freedom in the soul, there is peace. We find out what truly matters. This is not to minimize the pain and suffering. It's to give this time meaning and purpose.

Besides doing what we need to do to responsibly address this pandemic (like staying home!), the only real "control" we have is how we react to this. What we tell our minds and hearts about what is happening. May this song remind you of the pure love essence within you... and that this place in time is all a part of our walk. Together and individually. Enjoy!

Peace & Blessings... take good care!
